The device for discharging trace of liquid includes: a pump which has a discharge part provided with high pressure gas jetting means, and a pump portion for transferring a constant volume of viscous liquid to an outlet of the discharge part, and which is constituted to freely switch between discharge operation and suction operation. In the device for discharging trace of liquid, the pump portion is driven so as to continuously perform the discharge operation and the suction operation which is set to such a condition that a conveyance amount of the viscous liquid is smaller than in the discharge operation, so that the coating-shape viscous liquid is supplied to the outlet of the discharging part.
