To perform adjustment between the state of a system and the priority of a job about work load of the job by sorting jobs through dimension and adjusting an execution priority in accordance with relative weighting about the dimension.
A system structure consists of hardware resources of an information processing system 1 and communicates with a 'UNIX' kernel 2 that manages continuation of memory, inputs and outputs at a low level and various tasks (jobs). Here, jobs are sorted through dimension, and a user is made to allocate relative weighting about each dimension. When the load of a system is very large, the execution priority of a job in each dimension is adjusted in accordance with the relative weighting. Also, when the system uses hardware resources that exceed significant threshold, this method dynamically changes a priority about a job in progress in accordance with dimension.
