Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device which is capable of forming complex-shaped frame members from a tubular blank.
CONSTITUTION: A method for forming the frame members from the tubular blank 12 equipped with both ends is constituted of a step for forming an expanded tube by applying an internal pressure to the interior of the blank 12 and applying an external pressure to both ends of the blank 12, thereby expanding a portion of the blank, and a step for forming the frame members by varying the flank configuration and cross-sectional configuration of the expanded tube.
