Abstract:
To provide an image forming device capable of performing digital control of fast moving laser beam scanning (analog value) without using a fast multi-bit A/D converter.
When digital processing is performed on the basis of the passage position of beam light cast on a photosensitive drum or an analog detection value Vo corresponding to beam power, a comparator CMP0 in which a reference value for comparison (threshold) Vr changes in accordance with a detection value (integral output) Vo is used. On the basis of digital data BMDA corresponding to the output CMPOUT of the comparator, a new comparison reference value Vr is given to the comparator CMP0.
