Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for forming wire rod terminals capable of positively passing the wire rods through a die hole without any variations by operators.
SOLUTION: The device for forming wire rods terminals 10 is used for facilitating a work of passing the wire rod through a the die to reduce the diameter of the wire rod and is provided with a heater 11 as a heating means to heat a portion of a required length near the tip end of the wire rod 1, clamps 15, 16 as a holding means to respectively hold both sides of a portion to be heated 1b of the wire rod 1 and a feed screw device 17 as a transfer means to transfer at least one of the holding means 16 to the length direction of the wire rod.
