A collision determination unit 280 determines the possibility of collision of a vehicle with a three-dimensional object based on the position of one end close to a road surface of the three-dimensional object detected by a position detection unit 260 and the estimated traveling locus of a drive supporting image generated by a drive supporting image generating unit 220. Based on the result of determination, a drive supporting image acquisition unit 300 selectively acquires the drive supporting image generated by employing an image picked up by any one of two cameras as the image for display for an overlapped image part corresponding to an overlapped area to be image-picked up in an overlapping manner by the two cameras. The drive supporting image generated by employing the picked-up image to clearly indicate the situation can be variably displayed between a case where the vehicle collides with the three-dimensional object and a case where the vehicle does not collide with the three-dimensional object.
