Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a geothermal power plant actuated by high pressure geothermal fluid by supplying flushed vapor and a dried vapor constituent to an additional vapor turbine and expanding vapor in this turbine for generating electric power and radiated vapor.
CONSTITUTION: A geothermal power plant 10 supplies geothermal fluid generated in a well 12 to a flush chamber 14 so as to separate it into a high pressure vapor containing passage 15 and a high pressure salt water containing passage 16. Subsequently, high pressure saturated vapor in the passage 15 is supplied to a high pressure stage 18 in a vapor turbine 17, and a power generator 19 is driven by this expansion. Then, radiated high pressure vapor is supplied to a water separating device 30, and the separated water is supplied to another flush chamber 21, while the generated vapor is supplied to an intermediate pressure stage 22 in the vapor turbine. In a low pressure stage 26 of the vapor turbine 17, a similar action is carried out by another water separating device 23 and a flush chamber 24. Afterwards, discharged vapor is cooled by a cooler 28, and its condensate is rejected to a well 30.
