To provide a gas hydrate cargo handling device and a gas hydrate cargo handling method handling the gas hydrate cargo generating an inflammable gas as a bulk cargo between a conveying station on a ground side and a marine vessel.
An upper part conveying part 20 arranged with a first conveying device; a lower part conveying part 30 arranged with a second conveying device; a vertical conveying part 40 for connecting the upper part conveying part 20 and the lower part conveying part 30; and a vertical telescopic conveying part 50 downwardly descended from the lower part conveying part 30 are mounted on a support truck 10 moved along a quaywall on a ground, and a connection part 20a at the ground side of the upper part conveying part 20 is detachably formed on a mounting part 3a at the conveying station 3. A turning lower part of the vertical conveying part 40 at a marine side of the upper conveying part 20 is turnably connected to below a turning upper part, and further, the vertical telescopic conveying part 50 is constituted so as to be expandable/contractable in response to vertical displacement of a hold.
