Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the soundness of network service by increasing the reuse rate of cache data and actualize high-precision load decentralization control.
SOLUTION: Load measurement items predetermined for (n) servers are measured respectively to obtain load value of the (n) servers and also calculate their mean load value and each time a request from a client is received, a hash value for identification information on request data is calculated to determine the server S (0≤S≤n-1) corresponding to the hash value; when the load value of this server S is ≤α times as large as the mean load value, a decision on access to the server S is made, but when not, it is checked whether or not the load value of server S+i mod n (i=1, 2...n-1) is ≤β times as large as the mean load value; when the condition is met, a decision access to this server is made on the detection of the server and the processing ends. Here, α is a predetermined load decentralization execution coefficient (>1) and β is a load decentralization permission coefficient (α≥β≥1).
