To provide a device and method for machining a fine recessed part, accurately and excellently forming the fine recessed part on an inner peripheral surface of a circular hole, obtaining shape data of the circular hole while forming the fine recessed part, and thereby confirming quality without requiring a special inspection process and realizing reduction of machining cost.
This device is provided with a holder 10 mounted coaxially with a spindle 3 to rotate integrally with the spindle 3, a machining roller 11 provided with fine ruggedness on an outer peripheral part, a roller supporting part 13 provided in the holder 10 to rotatably support the machining roller 11 around a roller shaft 12 in parallel to the spindle 3, and a pressing mechanism 20 for pressing the fine ruggedness of the machining roller 11 on an inner peripheral surface Ba of a cylinder bore B by imparting load in the radial direction of the machining roller 11 to the roller supporting part 13. The holder 10 is provided with a non-contact type displacement measuring device 15 for obtaining the shape data without contacting the inner peripheral surface Ba of the cylinder bore B.
