Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately evaluateC deriving from a natural organic substance to measure the age of groundwater.SOLUTION: Groundwater 3 is passed through an adsorption column 12 filled with hydrophobic synthetic adsorption resin 11 to make uranine contained in the groundwater adsorb to it. Fulvic acid is collected from groundwater discharged from the adsorption column 12. Natural organic substance detection means 13 detectsC deriving from fulvic acid, and age derivation means 14 evaluates theC deriving from fulvic acid. On the basis ofC in the state whereC deriving from uranine has been removed, the age of groundwater is measured.
