To provide a device and method for measuring the amount of powder which exactly and easily measure the amount of powdered resin stuck on a synthetic resin pellet.

The amount of the powdered resin stuck on the pellet is measured by a powdered resin measuring device 1 provided with a sieve 3 having an opening through which the resin pellet is not passed and a screen 7 having an opening through which the powdered resin are not passed. The powdered resin measuring device 1 has: a sieve funnel 2 to which the sieve 3 is attached; a sieve fixing stand 9 for supporting the sieve funnel 2 on a shaker 4; a cuff 11 which is mounted on the sieve funnel 2 and to which the screen 7 is attached; and a suction device 16 connected to the cuff 11. The pellet is housed in the sieve 3 and an inside of the sieve 3 attached to the sieve funnel 2 is sucked through the screen 7 while shaking the sieve 3 by the shaker 4. By the suction, powdered resin are separated from the pellet and are captured in the screen 7 to measure the amount of the captured powdered resin.
