Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an absolute azimuth of the terrestrial magnetism at a place not easily accessibly, by integrally constituting a device with a gyro compass, a means for measuring the azimuth of the terrestrial magnetism, a memory, a power source battery, etc.
SOLUTION: In a terrestrial magnetism measuring device, a gyro compass 10 detecting the azimuth of this measuring device, a terrestrial magnetism detection sensor 20 obtaining the component of the terrestrial magnetism in each direction, an A/D converter 30, a memory 40, a data transmission means 50 and a power source battery 60, for example, are integrally provided. After lowering the terrestrial magnetism azimuth measuring device in a boring hole, for example, and measuring the azimuth of the terrestrial magnetism, the device is recovered. From the lowering to the recovery, the analog signals of the gyro compass 10 and a terrestrial magnetism detection sensor 20 are processed with an A/D converter 30, and stored in a sampling memory 40 with a specific period. After recovery, the absolute azimuth of the terrestrial magnetism is obtained with external components. It could be also constituted to assemble such control means as measuring apparatuses of various physical quantities and a scheduler.
