Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a device and a method for measuring coordinates of a measuring point capable of automatically obtaining the coordinates of the measuring point even when it is far therefrom.
CONSTITUTION: Two laser lights 41, 42 that are rotated in the direction perpendicular to a rotational axis line 6 are emitted from a lighthouse 2 disposed on a reference point 8, then a Y-shaped photodetector 3 disposed on a measuring point 12 receives the lights at the four light-receiving points on its arms 14. The lighthouse 2 detects rotational angles of the laser lights 41, 42 so that it is possible to calculate values of three dimensional coordinates of the measuring point from the rotational angles, an interval of the light-receiving points to which the upper laser light 41 is emitted and an interval of the light-receiving points to which the lower laser light 42 is emitted in the four light-receiving points and heights of the laser lights and the light-receiving points.
