PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility narrowing device for narrowing a plurality of candidate facilities detected by repetition of questions and answers, in a question and answer system for guessing a facility assumed by a user, and to provide a method therefor.SOLUTION: In a question and answer system for guessing a facility assumed by a user, a facility narrowing method for narrowing a plurality of facilities detected by repetitions of questions and answers comprises: storing candidate facility information about the detected candidate facility, together with position information; forming a narrowing map based on position information associated with the candidate facility information; displaying the formed narrowing map; and accepting the selection of the user for the displayed narrowing map.
