Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional art that a wire mesh constitutes a great resistance to flow, and further that a space for attaching a structure such as wire mesh is hard to find in a device for preventing resonance of tube nests in which a wire mesh is placed between tube nests to produce resistance to vibration of fluid particles for prevention of resonance of the tube nests.
SOLUTION: This device for prevention of resonance is provided with means 4a, 4b for applying elastic vibration wave to fluid, and a control means 6. A velocity of flow of fluid near an object 21 is detected, and if the frequency of Karman vortex generated in that velocity of the flow is an excitation frequency which causes the object 21 to resonate in an eigenfrequency, an elastic vibration wave having a frequency other than the excitation frequency is applied to the fluid.
