PURPOSE: To provide a private exchange equipped with intelligent network service (IS) function which can be uniformly adapted and rich in versatility, when adding the IS even to any kind of the private exchange.
CONSTITUTION: At a private branch exchange 25, a signal controller 24 and a high-function processor 26 are externally connected. The signal controller 24 discriminates whether a call originating signal requests the IS or not and in the case of YES, that signal is transferred to the high-function processor 26. The high-function processor 26 retrieves a procedure and data and returns them to the signal controller 24. Corresponding to those procedure and data, the signal controller 24 provides the IS. Since the inside of the private exchange 25 is not altered at all and the signal controller 24 and the high-function processor 26 are just externally connected, the private branch exchange 25 can ignore its kind and is rich in versatility.
