Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for producing dimethyl carbonate, especially, a system (device or method) for DMC synthesis which does not require use of a dehydrator.SOLUTION: A supply mixture for a method can be selected from: a) carbon monoxide, methanol, and a flue gas from a process; b) a synthesis gas including no CO2 and the flue gas from the process; c) a synthesis gas including CO2 and an additional synthesis gas acquired from a purified flue gas from the process. The method uses a catalysis aggregate including a specific combination of different groups of heterogeneous catalysts, and each group has a different function. The invention also provides a device including a specific combination of the heterogeneous catalysts for continuously producing a dimethyl carbonate from respective supply mixture choices using different routes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
