This device for producing the nonwoven fabric has a three- dimensional support member (56; 75; 91) for supporting a fiber web thereon. The support member has plural pyramids (61; 100; 104; 112; 120) which are arranged according to a prescribed pattern on one surface of the support member. Each pyramid has an apex, a base bottom, and plural side surfaces extended from the apex to the base bottom. The side surfaces of the pyramid are disposed at an angle of >55° to the horizontal surface of the support member. The support member has plural openings (68; 102; 109; 110; 111; 116; 121) according to a prescribed pattern for the pyramids.
