Abstract:

To provide a device and a method for the production of a metallic strip.

The device 1 for manufacturing a metal strip 2 which is ductile and amorphous or nanocrystal by using a rapid solidification technology, includes a rolling device 11 which is used for cleaning an external surface 7 of a movable heat sink 3 which is rotatable around a rotary shaft 5. A melt 8 is poured onto the external surface of the heat sink while the roughness of the external surface is continuously reduced, and the melt is solidified there to produce the strip 2. The rolling device includes a roll 12, and is pressed against the external surface while the heat sink is moved. The roller is moved on the external surface of the movable heat sink and parallel to the rotary shaft of the movable heat sink so as to be spirally brought into contact with the external surface of the movable heat sink.
