The image display device includes: an input control part 28 being an operation input means for receiving an input operation including an operation directional element; a communication object determining means 42 for determining existence of the external terminal 20 by transmitting a prescribed signal to the external terminal 20 or receiving a prescribed signal from the external terminal 20; an operation direction determining means 40 for determining the operation direction of the input operation received by a touch panel 24; and an information transmission control means 44 for transmitting prescribed image information in the operation direction of the input operation, which is determined by the operation direction determining means 40, when it is determined that the communication object determining means 42 determines the existence of the external terminal 20. Thus, the prescribed image information is transmitted to the external terminal 20 in the operation direction by the intuitive operation including the operation directional element.
