To provide an image display device which can smoothly scroll a multiplex image.
The image display device 2 includes: a display means 3 in which a pixel for a right eye and a pixel for a left eye are alternately arranged in at least one direction, and which displays the multiplex image made by combining an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye, on a screen; and a control means 4 for controlling the display means 3. The control means 4 includes an instruction obtaining part 431 for obtaining an instruction for scrolling the multiplex image; and a move processing part 435 which controls the display means 3 to scroll the multiplex image, when the instruction is obtained by the instruction obtaining part 431. When the multiplex image is scrolled, the move processing part 435 controls the display means 3 to display the first multiplex image or a second multiplex image in which the image for the right eye and the image for the left eye are inverted from the first multiplex image.
