Abstract:

To improve the quality of an image recorded on electronic paper.

When electronic paper that has charged color particles and displays an image as a result of the charged color particles migrating in a thickness direction is placed between two members, the image is displayed on the electronic paper by means of the effect of an electric field. Processes for displaying the image, as described above, are performed for a plurality of times (first process and second process) with one of the two members being charged, and charging polarities in the first process and the second process are opposite to each other (one charging polarity is positive, while other charging polarity is negative).
