Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for removing contaminants comprising e.g. sulfur compounds (e.g. SO2) contained in a liquid fuel such as a heavy oil, a gasoline or a petroleum to thereby prevent environmental pollution.
SOLUTION: The raw material tank 12 of a device 10 for removing contaminants from a liquid fuel is connected through a first discharge pipe 16 to an ozone mixing unit 18 provided with permanent magnet bars 20, 22. An ozone generating unit 24 is connected through an ozone supply pipe 26 to the ozone mixing unit 18. The ozone mixing unit 18 is connected through a second discharge pipe 28 to a reaction tank 30 provided with permanent magnet bars 32, 34. The reaction tank 30 is connected through a third discharge pipe 36 to a tank 38 for a liquid fuel after treatment. The first discharge pipe 16 and the third discharge pipe 36 are connected to each other through a circulation pipe 40.
