Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which are useful in realizing automatization of the work of removing a plated layer of a cylinder for gravure printing of a Ballard system.SOLUTION: A removal device includes a cylinder base which has a cylinder for gravure printing of a Ballard system having a cylindrical part, a ground layer formed on the cylindrical surface of the cylinder base and a plated layer formed on outer side relative to the ground layer and is for peeling the plated layer from the boundary between the ground layer and the plated layer. The removal device includes a cylinder support part supporting the cylinder, a laser light source which melts a part of the plated layer by irradiating the surface of the cylinder in a state of being supported by the cylinder support part with a laser beam and a laser irradiation position adjustment part which modifies a relative position of the laser light source relative to the cylinder.
