To provide a data file approximate to user's demand though a data file completely matching with the user's demand does not exist at the time of retrieving a data file by setting a retrieval condition by interaction with the user.

When a condition storage means 8 temporarily stores plural pieces of input data as the retrieved condition, a data retrieval means 5 retrieves the data file matching with the retrieved condition from a data base 6. When the number of this retrieval is '0', an interaction control part 4 successively changes plural pieces of stored data in the condition storage means 8 to detect the retrieval condition whose number of retrievals is not less than '1' and a data output device 7 outputs this retrieval condition, whose number of retrievals is not less than '1', to the user. Thus, though the data file completely matching with the user's demand does not exist, the data file approximate to the user's demand is provided.
