Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a document retrieving device capable of easily narrowing down an object to be retrieved without changing a retrieving condition again for a document group to be retrieved which is matched with an initially inputted retrieving condition.

CONSTITUTION: A condition for specifying an object to be retrieved is inputted (S401). Then any document attribute is specified as a retrieving parameter (S404). A scale indicating a changing range for the specified retrieving parameter is visually displayed on a screen (S405). An input for restricting the changing range of the parameter is executed (S407). While changing the value of the parameter in the range, document data specified by the value are read out (S408). Respective read document data are successively displayed on a display screen like a sense of turning pages.
