PURPOSE: To seal the test tube made of a thermoplastic resin completely by fusion by composing the sealing device of a pressing means for the upper part of the test tube, and a heat bar sealer or impulse type sealer which has a heater means and a cooling means.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting knob 3 is used to set a seal temperature for the heat bar sealer or proper time for allowing a nichrome wire to generate heat by feeding electricity instantaneously for the impulse type sealer. The pressing means consists of a pressure base 5 and a cradle 6 and a pressure handle 7 is operated to press the upper end of the test tube between heater means 4a and 4b. The heater means 4a and 4b consist of nichrome wires and a current is supplied at all times in general for the heater bar sealer and only for a short time at the time of the heating for the impulse type sealer, thereby raising the temperature to the seal temperature. The cooling means is so constituted by using the air heat radiation of the pressure base 5 and cradle 6 or sending a cooling medium such as water to respective internal parts.
