To provide a device and a method for storing tire-molding extrusion tread, configured to prevent shrinkage of an extrusion tread, while preventing any foreign objects from entering during storage, and to prevent air from remaining when bonded to a low cover.
The device for storing a tire-molding extrusion tread stores the extrusion tread extruded from an extruder and cut into a predetermined length until the extrusion tread is used for molding the low cover. The device includes: a tray provided with a recess for storing the tire-molding extrusion tread; and a lid provided with protrusions that form air vent grooves on a surface of the tire-molding extrusion tread. In the device for storing the tire-molding extrusion tread, the recess has a depth enough to bring the protrusion into contact with an upper surface of the tire-molding extrusion tread when a lid is closed. The device is used in the method for storing the tire-molding extrusion tread.
