Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of data which is caused by the hourly change-with-time of a recording medium.
SOLUTION: Data which are read out of an optical disc 100 by an optical pickup 7 are amplified by an amplifier 9. After synchronism signals are separated by a synchronism detection/separation circuit 10, the data are demodulated by a demodulation circuit 11 and subjected to an error correction process by an ECC decoder 12. Then the number of detected errors is read out by an error state monitoring device 15 to monitor the error state. An error correction sign is added to the data by a CPU 16 in accordance with the error state and the data with the error correction sign are re-recorded on the optical disc 100. After identification data are separated from the data decoded by the ECC decoder 12 by an identification data separation unit 13, the decoded data are restored into original data and outputted by a sector separation unit 14.
