At the time of first photography, the camera information (for example, zoom power) of a photography optical system 12 is recorded in a recording medium 28 together with a photographed picture. A reference picture for a rephotography mode is specified among pictures recorded in the recording medium 28. In the rephotography mode, the zoom power of the photography optical system 12 is controlled according to camera information added to the reference picture, a reproduced image of the reference picture is put together with a photographed picture, and the resulting picture is displayed on the screen of a display device 22.
