To provide a compressing/packing device in which a packing operation is possible while the compression state of an object to be treated is held.
The compressing/packing device comprises: a compression chamber for compressing an object to be treated; a compression plate of elevating and lowering in the compression chamber; a charge port for charging the object to be treated; an exhaust port for discharging the object; and a binding means for binding the object in the compression chamber with a binding band. The binding means is equipped with: a binding band guiding means for guiding and arranging the binding band whose one end is locked to a binding band locking part provided at the front end of the lower part of the device along the bottom face of the compression chamber and the inside face of the rear wall in the compression chamber; a binding band transporting means composed of a power-driven endless transport belt rotating in one direction, which is arranged at a through-hole formed on the compression plate and opening to the bottom face of the compression plate, holds the intermediate part on the other end side of the binding band, and transports the same to the front of the device; and a binding band welding means for binding both the ends of the binding band arranged at the lower part in the front part of the compression chamber, and thermally welding the same.
