To preliminarily prepare a material in a container and to apply it in a region of surgery by making a separating plunger movable between a mixing plunger and a discharging plunger in a mixing cylinder and allowing inner chambers of the mixing cylinder to be communicated with each other through through-flow channels.
The openworked mixing plunger 5 is axially moved within the mixing cylinder consisting of two cylinder parts 2, 3. The lower part 3 of the cylinder is sealed by the discharging plunger 12 and the separating plunger 10 is axially movably arranged between the mixing plunger 5 and the discharging plunger 12 in the mixing cylinder 1. Then the separating plunger 10 is provided with the through-flow channels 18, whereby a liquid monomer flows from the lower part 3 of the cylinder to a pulverulent polymer in the upper part 2 of the cylinder through these through-flow channels 18 during the mixing operation.
