PURPOSE: To reduce the number of components by providing a rotary driving shaft at that portion of a switching device main body which is at the center as seen from the vertical direction thereof, the rotary driving shaft being adapted for transferring rotary motion to a toilet seat and a toilet lid.
CONSTITUTION: Driving forces are transferred to a rotary driving shaft 3 from a motor 2 mounted to a main body 1 and almost elliptical connection holes 20 used for transferring driving forces and into which to insert the hinge pins 12 of a toilet seat 10 or a toilet lid 11 are bored through the rotary driving shaft 3. The right and left hinge pins 12 are passed respectively through a driving force transferring hole 4 and a driving force non-transfer hole 4a provided respectively through hinges 14, 16 and 15, 17 and are inserted into and fixed to the almost elliptical connection holes 20. Thereby the toilet seat 10 is opened or closed via the left hinge 14 by rotation of the rotary driving shaft 3 of a left side device for opening and closing the seat 10 and the toilet lid 11 is opened or closed via the right hinge 17 by rotation of the rotary driving shaft 3 of a right side device for opening and closing the lid 11.
