Concerning a device 500 for operating detection of plural functions, a control part 70 controls prescribed operation on the basis of detection outputs for which detecting parts (a)-(f) detect the operating state of the prescribed function part among plural functions A-G. When the detecting part (b) of the function part B becomes an abnormal detecting part X, the control part 70 controls substitutive detecting operation while substituting the detection output for which the detecting part (a)/(b) arranged in the function part A/C showing the operating state to be changed corresponding to the operating state detected by the abnormal detecting part X as a substitutive detecting part Y. The other detecting part can be made similar as well. As a utilizing device, there is a configuration for controlling the substitutive detecting operation while using the similar substitutive detecting part Y when any detector of each function part in a compression freezer/absorption freezer becomes the abnormal detecting part X. This utilizing device reduces an operation input quantity and a trip temperature for cooling as needed.
