PURPOSE: To secure safety of a user of a wheelchair in the case of getting out of an elevator, and also to keep operating efficiency of the elevator by opening a door by means of a first time interval device which prolongs an opened period, by making the first time interval device ineffective during operation of this device through operation of a photo-electric device, and at the same time, by opening the door by means of a second time interval device in a shorter period through operating a door button of an operating board for physically handicapped persons.

CONSTITUTION: When an opening button 5 for a physically handicapped person is pressed, a relay 6 for detecting the operation of the button 5 is magnetized, and then an auxiliary relay 7 for the button 5 is also magnetized, and a door begins to open again. Then, the relay 7 and an opening button timer 8 are magnetized due to the close of the button 5, and the timer 8 begins to count time. After ten seconds, a preparatory relay 3 for closing the door is magnetized. Thus, the door is closed in such time duration that a user of a wheelchair can get out of the elevator safely. When, the user of the wheelchair interrupts light of a photo-electric device during getting out, a sensing relay 10 is magnetized, and then an auxiliary relay 11 and a motion sensing timer 12 are magnetized, and the timer 12 begins to count time. When three seconds have been counted after he has got out, the preparatory relay 3 for closing the door is magnetized. Thus, it is possible that a user of a wheel chair gets out of an elevator safely without lowering operating efficiency of the elevator.
