Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a device for optically scanning and measuring an ambient environment.SOLUTION: A device for optically scanning and measuring an ambient environment is designed as a laser scanner (10) comprising: a light emitter (17) which emits an emission light beam (18); a light receiver (21) which receives a reception light beam (20) that is reflected from an object (O) in the ambient environment of the laser scanner (10) or scattered otherwise; and a control and evaluation unit (22) which, for a multitude of measuring points (X), determines at least the distance to the object (O). At least one shell (32) is provided as part of a housing of the laser scanner (10). The shell (32) is partially covered on its outer side by at least one yoke (34) which serves as a protection.
