PURPOSE: To provide an optimum attaching/detaching device by combining the fitting face of a peripheral equipment with that of a television camera mechanically attachably/detachably from a rectangular direction and mutually connecting 1st and 2nd interface means.

CONSTITUTION: In the attaching/detaching device 31, a rear face 1a to be the fitting face of a television camera 1 and a front face 11a to be the fitting face of a peripheral equipment 11 such as a camera adaptor, a video tape recorder and a battery pack are formed in a vertical face. Two sets of 1st and 2nd male and female connectors 32a, 32b and 33a, 33b for pins are arranged vertically in two stages as electric interface means. Floating structure 34 is adopted for the connector 32b, 33b and the connectors are positioned by a positioning mechanism 37 having four positioning pins 35 and positioning holes 36. Since the connectors 32a, 32b, 33a, 33b are arranged, the number of connection signal lines can be increased and the device can cope with the digitization of the camera 1.
