Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct the position of ring patterns which are conveyed on a conveyer while deviating from the center.
SOLUTION: A hot-rolled steel rod is sent to a laying head 10 along a transfer path P, the rod is formed into a series of continuous rings R in the laying head 10, these rings R are placed on the conveyer 14 in an overlapped pattern and transferred to a reforming station along the transfer path P. The laying head 10 is adjustably provided on support structure 38 in a lower part. Relating to a clamp 44, the laying head 10 is preferably fixed on the support structure 38 in a selected arbitrary adjusting position.
