In this pouring device for molten metal, a molten metal pump 1 for sucking/discharging the molten metal P with a piston 2 in a cylinder 1 and the molten metal pouring pipe line 5 for pouring the molten metal into a mold are arranged, and the molten metal in a molten metal furnace is sucked into the cylinder with the suction-shifting of the piston in a state of connecting the cylinder 1 with the molten metal furnace while shutting off the communication between the cylinder and the molten metal pipe line, and the molten metal in the cylinder is discharged into the molten metal pouring pipe line with the discharge-shifting of the piston in a state of disconnecting the communication between the cylinder and the molten metal furnace while connecting the cylinder with the molten metal pouring pipe line. A relief valve mechanism 11 for reducing the molten metal pressure in the molten metal pouring pipe line by spouting a part of the molten metal when the molten metal pressure in the molten metal pouring pipe line exceeds a set pressure, is arranged so that a molten metal spouting hole 13 of the mechanism 11 is provided to face the inside of the molten metal or the vicinity of the molten metal surface in the molten metal furnace.
