To provide a device for preventing eddy intake of a gate with a pump, in which an eddy is prevented from being generated on a water surface on an intake side of the pump by a float put on the water surface of the intake side of the pump upon its operation when a water level is low, and a downward cover to be provided on the intake side of the pump can be eliminated.

In the gate with the pump, in which the pump 3 for forcibly discharging the water in an upstream side water passage 2a of a rising/falling type gate 1a to the downstream side water passage 2b is fitted to the gate 1a, the float 5 is put on the water surface on the intake side of the pump 1 to be freely movable up and down according to the movement of the water level. The eddy is prevented from being generated on the water surface on the intake side of the pump 3 by the float 5 upon the operation when the water level is low.
