To provide a feed accumulation preventing device capable of preventing feed accumulation by surely moving the feed accumulated outside a standing cage row of a feed gutter to the position of a cage.

The feed accumulation preventing device 1 includes an engaging part 5 extending outward from both ends of a hopper feeder 4 reciprocating along the feed gutter, and a feed returning unit 10 having an engaging piece 17 engageable with the hopper feeder 4 approached to the engaging part 5 only in the case that the feeder is moving in a separating direction, and an engagement releasing piece 18 to move the engaging piece 17 in a direction to release the engagement with the engaging part 5 by contacting with the cages at both ends. The feed returning unit 10 is pushed with the hopper feeder 4, and pulled with the hopper feeder 4 by engaging the engaging piece 17 with the engaging part 5, and the motion is stopped by contacting the engagement releasing piece 18 with the cage, thereby releasing the engagement of the engaging part 5 with the engaging piece 17, and the feed accumulated at a position free from the cage is moved to the position of the cage.
