Title:
DEVICE FOR PREVENTING GEAR NOISE IN NEUTRAL POSITION OF MANUFAL TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58161623
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent striking sound of gears in a neutra position from being generated, by changing-over a clutch to its disengaging condition by an energized solenoid when a manual transmission is shifted to the neutral position.

CONSTITUTION: When a manual transmission 27 is about to be shifted to a neutral position, pistons 23, 24 are integrally moved together rightward by stepping on a clutch pedal 20, and a clutch switch 22 is turned on at the substantial full stroke position. Then, when the manual transmission 27 is set to its neutra positon, a neutral switch 28 is turned on and therefore, a solenoid 25 is energized through a controller 26. For this reason, the plunger 25a of the solenoid 25 is projected for inhibiting the return of the piston 24 to the left. Under this condition only the piston 23 and a cable 18 is moved leftward by returning the pedal 20 but a clutch lever 12 connected to the piston 24 through a cable 16 is not rotated, thereby a clutch 11 is maintained under disengaging condition.
