A device 1 for preventing a mouth from opening for a dead body for keeping closed the mouth 103 of the dead body is configured to introduce inside a mouth cavity 100 of the dead body. The device 1 for preventing a mouth from opening is less visible in placing the dead body in a coffin or during a funeral service by introducing the device 1 into the mouth cavity 100.
