PURPOSE: To facilitate the handling without being disturbed by an arm for preventing overturn at the time of handling a coil by standing up the arm for preventing the overturn from fall-down state to hold the coil.

CONSTITUTION: In this device is provided with a coil detecting lever 2 arranged at the center part of a truck body 1 and displaced by the dead wt. of the coil C, the arms 12 for preventing the overturn arranged so as to be able to stand up/fall down at both sides in the longitudinal direction of the truck body 1, an accelerating means 5 converting the displacement of the coil detecting lever 2 into the stand-up/fall-down movement of the arm 12 for preventing the overturn. Further, an elastic means of rubber spring, etc., deformed when the torque becomes the prescribed quantity or higher, is arranged between the coil detecting lever 2 and the accelerating means 5.
