PURPOSE: To surely prevent paper moneys from being drawn out by providing a paper money processor for storing only legal paper moneys out of inserted paper moneys with a claw whose tip is directed in a direction separated from an insertion port and hooking the rear end of a paper money by the claw.

CONSTITUTION: The paper money processor having a horizontal paper money passage 4 and a vertical paper money passage 5 is provided with a paper money drawing preventing device 28 arranged under a bottom plate 27 of a stack box. A drawing preventing lever 30 has a pair of claw members 32 whose tips are extruded to an upper oblique direction separated from the paper money insertion port 2. An inserted paper money B recedes the lever 30 and is guided into the paper money passage 5. At the time of receiving a paper money B illegally processed by sticking a tape T to its rear end, the rear end of the paper money B is hooked by a hook groove 33 and the drawing out of the paper money B is interrupted. Even when the paper money B is to be drawn out by inserting a celluroid plate, the drawing of the paper money B is suppressed by a tongue chip 5 or the like.
