Title:
DEVICE FOR PREVENTING STICKING OF AQUATIC ORGANISMS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62186989
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent sticking of aquatic organisms by disposing plural plate electrode elements having electric field concentrating parts and non-electric field concentrating parts in a manner as not to hinder flow and impressing high-voltage pulses to the high-voltage electrodes of such electrode elements.

CONSTITUTION: The plural plate electrode elements 1a formed with plural sharp pointed ends in prescribed areas to form the electric field concentrating parts 1a2 are disposed in the electrode part 1 in such a manner that the electric field concentrating parts 1a2 of the plate electrode elements on one side face the non-electric field concentrating parts 1a1 of the other plate electrode elements into the flow of sea water or fresh water in a manner as not to hinder the flow thereof. The one party of the plate electrode elements disposed to face each other are grounded and the other are acts as high-voltage electrodes 1b. The high-voltage pulses are impressed by a power source part 2 to such high-voltage electrodes. The aquatic organisms entering the device by being entrained in the flow of the sea water or fresh water is selectively paralyzed and exterminated by the electric shock. As a result, the problems of environmental pollution are eliminated and the sticking of the aquatic life is prevented at a substantially practicable cost.
