To provide a device for preventing the extraneous surge trouble of an electric apparatus, which can prevent the involuntary reset or damage of the electric apparatus caused by the surge generated by thunder or the like, without incurring the complication of the constitution of a plurality of electric apparatuses controlled centralizedly.
When surge arises in a power centralized controller 1 to the plural electric apparatuses 20, the strength level of the surge detected with a surge detection means 6 and/or the frequency of surge are compared with set values, and the continuation/break of power supply to the above electric apparatus 20 is controlled based on the result. Hereby, even if there is such situation that the power source constituent parts in the power centralized controller 1 is subjected to stress by surge, this can prevent the electric apparatus 20 from being reset involuntarily or being damaged by the penetration of an abnormal current.
