Abstract:
To provide a method and a system for preventing, mitigating, and/or treating brain damage.SOLUTION: A method includes: acquiring a test result reflecting a state of an object brain; determining a stimulation parameter on the basis of the test result; and stimulating nerves on the basis of the stimulation parameter. By stimulating the nerves, contraction of an object respiratory muscle is assisted or caused. A system can include: a processor configured to receive the test result reflecting the state of the object brain, and to determine the stimulation parameter on the basis of the test result; and a stimulator configured to stimulate the nerves on the basis of the stimulation parameter.
