This device for producing the absorbing material is provided by supplying the absorbing materials 41, 42 as a scattered state to a rotary drum 2 equipped with accumulating recessed parts 3 having many sucking holes on the bottom surface part at the outer circumferential surface, sucking and piling the absorbing materials on each of the accumulating recessed parts 3 by sucking force from the sucking holes, produced by decreasing pressure in a space 21 positioned at the reverse surface side of the bottom surface part, mold-releasing the piled materials sucked and piled from each of the accumulating recessed parts one by one to produce the absorbing materials is provided by installing a rectifying plate 8 at the space 21 positioned at the reverse surface side of the bottom surface part so as to be able to increase or decrease the distance between the rectifying plate 8 and the bottom surface part.
